The three things I can’t live without

Samartha Das (Gogol), Grade 5

I am going to talk about the things I really need. I couldn’t have lived without these things. They are: my football, my family and my favorite food.
Football is really important to me. It brings joy and it is fun to play. Sometimes when I play a match and I lose, I learn something new. Sometimes when I go to other cities to play tournaments and stay in hotels, it is fun too! When you win a tournament, it feels like you’ve achieved a huge goal.

My family helps me in life in different ways. My mom makes our food, my dad helps me improve my football skills, and my little brother plays with me in free time like playing Legos and football. Sometimes we go swimming together and have fun. My dad and mom drive me to places for events that I need to attend. I love watching movies with my family such as Minions. We travel outside the country together visiting places of interest. In the winter my little brother and I always try to make igloos, bases made out of snow and snow towers with snowballs to throw. Last winter my family and I went to two different ski resorts. We had a snowboarding training. It was difficult in the beginning but later it was easier and fun too!

My favorite food is really important to me. My favorite food is Indian chicken curry. The meat is very soft and the gravy is filled with spices, I also like chicken in many varieties from cooked to baked. My mom cooks chicken at least once a week.

As I have already mentioned, I just can’t live without these things. They help me in life in many ways. They help me to stay happy and healthy both mentally and physically.
